Where did you grow up? I spent part of my life on a farm..then moved to a small town. I live in a little bit bigger town now and really like all the opportunities that are available. Like a theater to see plays..two malls..etc. I do think that growing up on a farm was some of the very best years of my life. Where did you grow up and where are you living now?

For the most part I grew up in the city. Then when my father moved us out to Missouri it was a small town, but the town next to us was pretty big. It was like a city but not as big as one. Now I live in a very small town that has 2 grocery stores, 2 gas stations, 5 churches, 30 bars, a few restaurants, 2 banks and a laundromat. Ive lived here now the last 7 years or so. Its alright but id much rather be up in the city, or at least closer to it so I can at least go to walmart now and then without costing me an arm and a leg for gas!

That does make a difference~! Having to drive. I like the little bigger towns too....they have so much more to offer.

I grew up in the midwest in a big city. This sort of life is all I've ever known. Didn't see a live farm animal until I was approximately 13. It was a major shock to see a cow and chickens laying eggs or maybe that's a hen. I am still in the same large, midwest city. In fact we now live 8 miles from where we both grew up. We have malls, restaurants and theaters all over the place.

That has got to be nice to have all your friends and relatives around. And the opportunities that a big city offers. I love going to the twin cities to visit my brother or sister....there are so many different restaurants etc to go to!

i've spent my whole life in the countryside where we are near a lake and mountains. before, our neighborhood really looks like a village because there are less houses and less people. there are open spaces, lots of plants, a bigger lakeshore, lots of trees in the mountain. but as i grew up and change, our neighborhood changes too. there's still the lake and the mountains but i really can't consider it as a countryside anymore because there are lots of houses, many many people, there are houses in the mountains and we can't climb it freely anymore, our neighborhood just became so crowded. i think it can already be considered as an urban area.

I grew up in a rather nomadic lifestyle with my father being career military. Though the only we ever lived in a city was for a year when we were waiting for base housing to become available - we lived in Panama City. Then we moved onto a base for 3 years (that was like being in a town) other than that we lived always in the country - several miles from town.

It's kinda nice isn't it? I think the best years of my life were when I grew up on a farm! Loved it! Was your dad Air Force?

I grew up in a small town which these days has become a very large town with its own superstore etc. I moved away to rural Devon in 2000 and enjoy being in an average size town surrounded by countryside one way and the sea the other. I also spent sometime in a very small village nearby to the town I grew up in and other than now was happiest here. Ellie :D

There are advantages to being in a smaller town. The one I live in is small in some ways but big enough to offer different kinds of activities.

I grew up in a small town a really really small town. I don't miss it at all because it was boring and their was only one store and it was expensive. Other then that their was nothing.

Where I grew up sounds alot like the small town you grew up in....there's nothing left there anymore.
