favorite running shoes

do you have a favorite brand/type of running or exercise shoe? I've heard asics are very good but I've never bought them. My adidas are in serious need of replacement.

when I was a teen I liked the Adidas, Reebox, Nike - but I think that was more of a peer pressure fashion type of preference more than anything and I am not sure if I preferred one comfort more than the others. If I were to purchase a pair of athletics today I suppose I would go with new balance.

My daughter bought me a pair of Asics quite a while ago. They were very comfortable. I wore them when I worked out at Curves. They offered good support to the foot, especially the arch. When the insole wore out, I bought Spenco Sport arch supports and wore them in the sneaker. Replacing the arches extends the life of the sneaker.
