hello everybody refering translations to understand religious scripts cannot do.source language has a great deal in understanding religion.every language has its own essence... or u may add some more appropriate word. That esssence, which in all other languages is neccesarily absent. i think that is why people trying to understand a religion-referring to translation of its original devine scripts, without adopting and without learning the original language and its specialities,-r often misguided for values which that perticular language reflects to. what is your opinion.

i agree with you in saying that every language has its own essence. But language is delivering tool for the religion's teaching. In order to get religious scripts understood by as many people as possible, it's much easier and more practical to translate the scripture than to get their believer master the source language of the scriptures.
