personnaly i think that alot of young ,smart ,talented kids are underevaluated by their teachers that simply dont acknowledge the fact that the education system has flaws and that sometimes the grades that those kids get for their essays or when presenting a research doesnt entirely give an objective view of a pupil's skills and intelligence.

I agree. As an ex-teacher, I am very much aware of the education system's flaws and feel that it is all a shame. I was one of those overlooked kids who wound up hating school and would have quit in my sophomore year had it not been for my parents' insisting that I go. I had no choice. But fortunately, my creative writing teacher took an interest in me and asked me about my plans after high school graduation. She encouraged me to go to college and become a teacher. I took that teacher's advice and subsequently earned an Ed.D. at Rutgers University. I'll always thank my parents and that high school teacher for their support. And to think that I hated school with a passion, lol.

lol well i think that there should be more people like you employed in the field of education because u're a down to earth person that understands people and listens because a teachers job is not only to talk and teach but also to learn something from the kids and listen to them

Do you that the greatest and most intelligent people in the world are low performers at school. No doubt I do not subscribe to the view that those who secure high grades are intelligent people. The measure of intelligence through the written examination do not guarntee the quality. It is the result at that particular moment when the question papers are given to children,/pupils, whatever the good presenc eof mind they have they can write and get higher marks. But securing good marks do not ensure intelligece.
