Yes, it is cold and gloomy here again today. I wish spring would hurry up and get here. I am about sick of the snow, sleet, and freezing rain. On cold and gloomy days like today, all I want to do is lite the fireplace, curl up with a blanket, lay down and sleep. Does cold and gloomy days do the same for you? Or are you the type who loves the cold? I have friends who say that the cold weather makes them more active.

Well we have not had snow or anything here where I live we havent even done too bad for rain, but its been cold and the last couple of days it has been rather gloomy. I hate the cold, I feel the cold very bad and I dont want to do anything, but I have to go out in it everyday to take the kids to school. I cant wait for spring to kick in so that we can hopefully get some warm sunny days that will make me glad to be getting up early every morning!

Hello gemini_rose. *smiling* Thank you for your response. I guess you are the lucky one, if you have had no snow. Well, unless you like the snow. It doesn't have to be extremely hot outside, I just would like to see the sun. It's 10:14 am here, and it's dark outside.

Yep, I hear ya. I have been sick an awful lot lately and I do spend alot of my days curled up by the fire. Hubby even set up my computer for me here so I feel cozy typing away. However. I agree, I am so ready for Spring to come, so hopefully I can get outdoors a little more and start wiping away some of these germs that have been keeping me down for the past little bit!

Thank you for your response Liasonfan. I just thought I was being lazy. Yeah, I too was sick for a few weeks, and seemed I would never get over whatever it was a I had. That was very nice of your husband to do that for you. Mine although he loves me very much, wouldn't have. He always tells me, I should rest and pretty much harps on me about it, til I am back in bed. (Done with love, I grant you)

Oh, you and me both, Chey. The sun is peeking out here in Ohio right now, but it is still pretty cold and the sun isn't expected to stick around. Right now it is coming in the window here in the office and I'll take all I can get!

Oh Ldyjarhead, I think you can share that sunshine with me. I know I won't mind if you did. *LOL* I don't blame you, I would be welcoming it the same way as you. Go ahead and take full enjoyment in it.

I guess I'm one of those who would love to just grab a book and lie down to read or sleep. I have some friends though who also like the cold weather. I guess that the way how a person behaves during a particular weather depends on how they were brought up or in their genes. Also, I think that our reaction to cold weather is actually the body's way of conserving heat. I once watched on the National Geographic channel that should you be sailing somewhere in the vicinity of the Arctics or Antarctic and suddenly find your ship sinking with you left floating in the cold water, you should refrain from swimming around. Normally movement produces heat but in that case, heat is being released as you move, so in short, the more you move, the faster you suffer from hypothermia.

Thank you for your response azure. *smiling* Seems, we are the same with wanting to lie down and sleep. My ex husband was one who just loved the cold, he was always more active during the winter with wanting to go out and do this, that, and the other. Interesting about the National Geographical information. However, I do seriously doubt I would ever be in one of those places. I joke a lot that I am allergic to the cold.
