Which is your favouritte to enjoy at mealtime? Do we need to eat one of these each suppertime? Hubby and I often debate this, as he loves them all and so do I actually, but sometimes feel it is a little healthier to leave out the starch and just serve the meat and the veggies. What do you think?

And all three of these are carbs and they are what turns into sugar and then the sugar turns into energy so this is probably why your husband likes them. The give him that energy lift. But if eaten and not burned off they are also very fattening and should be limited if you have a weight problem. My husband likes to have at least one of them every supper time, but I don't eat any of them, every day, because I have a weight problem. I limit myself to having either of them, three times a week and not two days in a row. I will usually just eat a veggie and salad and meat, while my hubby will eat all I mention and one of these, usually potatoes.

I love all three but if I had to pick one with my meal I would have to choose potato.

Potatoes are high in potassium. Pasta has a lot of carbs, runners eat a lot before running. I like rice but from what I understand brown or wild rice is better for you because white has all the fiber taken out. But I love them all. I love loaded backed potatoes and I like rice and mashed potatoes with beef gravy.

i personally prefer pasta and potatoes more to rice. I haven't been eating rice regularly like close to 1 and half years ago, so eating rice now makes me so nauseous that anything more than half a bowl of rice would send me to the basin for some "throat-exercise" (read: puke).
