mother in laws - love 'em or hate 'em

I just had a go 'round with my mother in law. She thinks she has the right to dictate how I should raise my children. Judging by the choices she's made in life I most certainly will not let that happen. So anyways, how much do you like your mother in law?

I like my mother-in-law just fine now that we live far enough away from each other. My family had to live with our in-laws for awhile and that was extremely difficult for me. Then we had to live with my parents for awhile and that was just as difficult. (It was all due to a business I was involved in causing us to go bankrupt.) I believe that mother-in-laws and mothers do the best they know how. I've been a mother-in-law for over one year now. I get along with both of my son-in-laws just fine. I try to stay out of things and only offer advice if asked. Perhaps it's because I still remember the problems I had with my mother-in-law that I'm this way. But to answer your question, she's a nice person to visit but I wouldn't want to live with her ever again! And if my husband reads this - I do love your mom. :-)

My mother in law and me have a good relation . She make me feel like my own mother. Give me a good advice and she can resist my opinion. We always talking about something we like and go shopping together.

I can honestly say it depends on the day of the week for us. Right now my boyfriend is not speaking to his mother and I support him. She's been over protective since we met and moved in with each other. Other days we get along just fine and see things in the same light. For the most part I can understand why she is protective of her child but I also know at some point you got to let them be an adult.
