How long was your longest relationship? Was it good, bad, rocky, perfect, heartbreaking ... etc? And if it was a pretty lengthy relationship, how did you keep it going? My longest has been for the past year and 3 months. The relationship is a trial, but enjoyable. My boyfriend and I just click; we really understand each other, and we're willing to learn and change together as opposed to growing apart. your turn :-)

My longest relationship has been for almost 7 years. Its been very rocky. It started out on weird terms though. Its a huge long story but after like 3 years everything changed completely! And now since then 4 years later its been ok but I wouldnt say the greatest. Honestly I have no clue why we are still even "together" most the time we dont even say we are. I guess whatever works for us works. However I know deep down we cant stand each other. We have a 3 almost 4 year old daughter as well. I guess its more about her then me or him.

I second that steffyhoney. I myself also have had a rocky relationship that lasted about four years now, off and on. I feel exactly the way you do, wondering why we are together. I personally when I would not have given myself to him so quickly. I think that killed it for us. I didn't think he would be like men my age. I thought he would be more about committment than he is. I love him but I am disappointed in him. I mean, for about the first 8 months we were together he told people we were just friends. I was so hurt by that. I still am and I am having a hard time getting over it. He seems to be very hard on me for the fact that I left him and played the field for awhile too. However, I saw no reason why I should wait around for someone who offers not much more than mixed messages to me. He really doesn't know what he wants. Even though he claims that he does. I don't really believe him at all.
