I know larger people always say that they are happy but are they? would they secretly like to be thin but wont admit it? I know that I have put on 2 stone in 2 years and hate it and desperatly want to lose weight, do others feel like this?

I am not very fond of my body image and never display a photo of me if I can help it. Although just yesterday I did put up a pic for you. But you saw my shirt and not much else. I am overweight by about 3 stone. I talk a lot about doing something, but actually do nothing. Naked in the mirror is not a sight I like. But my wife doesn't complain about it, much! I used to be very fit and weight proportionate to my height. But I started to lead an increasingly sedentary life and the weight just moved in and decided to stay. I have on occasions gone on a diet. But these don't do much for me. Sensible, balanced eating is the real answer and although I do my 5 fruit and veg a day etc, I mess it all up with the odd biscuit or chocolate bar. But it is self inflicted and I have no one to blame but myself for this.

I forgot to say. I;'m quite a happy chubby chappy though otherwise. Living where you do, I'd be even fatter. I love Spanish food. I used to have to go to Gibraltar a lot, and every available moment I got I'd nip over the border to some restaurant or other. Happy days, plus a litre or two of cheap gin on the way home.

Right from a child I have always been conscious and very very unhappy about my weight, I was always target for bullies for being fat, so all through my life I have been on diet after diet, binging and ballooning, it wasn't until I decided diets do NOT work for me personally that I started to exercise and the weight fell off, I wish I had done it sooner. Now I don't watch the calories but I do watch what I eat, I am never happy if I look fat and I can tell by my clothes, I don't weigh myself because that is depressing! I do a lot of walking which keeps my weight down.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
that's a good question in which we need to use our mind very hardly.
I think some fat people are happy and most of them are not happy. This is because everyone tease fat people that they are fat and so the prefer to become thin.

I think if you suddenly start to put on weight you will not feel happy about it, but I was a chubby child and a tubby teen, and for most of my adult life I have been overweight. When I was young most people were thinner than I was but now I seem to be one of the thinner ones becuse the general population is growing more obese. I do eat a healthy diet and take regular exercise but I also eat too much and not always food that is good for me. If you want to lose weight now you can start now to change your eating habits and exercise more. If you feel healthy and you are not so overweight as to be putting your health at risk, you can still be happy and fat.
