I came across something very interesting regarding obesity. There is a research which says that there are two types of obesity. One is the general i.e u overeat & put on weight. the second theory is very interesting. It says that stress releases certain hormones in males & females which triggers obesity. They generally get deposited in the belly area. I feel i belong to this second type of obesity. What do u have to say about this? ur views please..

Hi, Is it possible to have both? I have a compulsive eating disorder in which I overeat but it is triggered by alot of stress and depression. and I have alot in the belly area. I took Relacore which worked out for me but I ran out of them I think it says your body relaeases cortisol which makes you store fat in you belly region.

yes absolutely i know some ppl who have both. u can take light walks in the park to bring it under control & whenever u r hungry u can eat something healthy like fruits & salads. i suggest u consult a nutritionist or a fitness counsellor. tc

Yes cortisol. Cortisol is released when we are stressed and can increase bellyfat. I believe that steroids are made from cortisol and that would explain weight gain associated with steroid usage. You can go to the health food store and ask for a product that helps reduce the production of cortisol. It's not the cure all, unfortunately I am stressed too and not the type that could easily meditate. But try to take an hour a day to do something you enjoy, it may help. You never know. Good luck to you.
