A lot of people here on mylot and other places tend to put a lot of focus upon usernames and the meanings of them. When social networking, if you have a cool name, yes that will make you memorable if you are active and are activly tagging things on that networking site. Also if you retain the same user name around the web. However I think that a photo is much more attractive to networkers than just a cool or catchy name. Also photos are eaily distributed, such as here on my lot where every activity by you is tagged with your username and photo, and are quickly recognizable. Also if you have an interesting or provacative photo that will make people sit up and take notice of your responses and of course your photo. You can also use the same photo or set of photos around the web on each of your online profiles so that users that come from other sites that you're on can quickly identify and bookmark you there as well.
There is a lot to be said for a catchy username but much more wil be said about a picture that "captures" a web surfer's short attention span!
