Hang out with friends VS alone...

I also don't usually go with my officemates during lunchbreaks when I was still working because I could just go whereever I please without having to wait for those who talk a lot before, while, and after eating but you would later ask yourself, have I learned anything meaningful with the discussion? A lot of times, they would talk about clothing, party going, and after the meal I had to hang around with them while they smoked while I stood idle and they kept talking about the same things that didn't interest me so I would rather go alone and meet them up again after lunch but if anyone or some people purposely request my company during lunchbreak, that's when I find time to join them.
