Has anyone seen the new tv progam New Amsterdam?

I wasn't sure it would interest me. At his simplest it's still just another "cop looking for love" story, but the first two episodes have been excellent. Aside from the female partner, who may be temporary anyway, the cast is interesting and well portrayed. The lead actor, for a relative unknown, is exceptional. Even if the show doesn't make it, this actor will. Probably the most interesting thing I liked in these episodes was him not lying or stumbling to cover his past. It's so predictable on shows like this to waste the first few episodes trying to explain how this person has hidden his "special ability" all this time. This show has just thrown it out there that most people won't believe him anyway, so why bother. Here's to many more episodes!

I missed it and wanted to watch it too. Somehow our DVR only records two programs at a time and I don't even know which ones were recording. I'm going to ask my hubby when he gets back next Wednesday if he can record from then on.

I really wanted to catch that show, ctry, because I do love a good vampire story, but the timing of the first show clashed with my schedule. They ran it again on Thursday night, but I'm so forgetful that I only remembered when you posted this discussion. Maybe I'll go on TV.com and see if I can watch some of it.

I'm watching it to, and I seem to like it so far. There is alot of good shows on this season. I'm looking forward to more episodes.
