Why do actors and musicians get paid so much money? The US is having problems with people losing their homes and not being able to find work. Then you see MTV cribs and see all these people with mulit-million dollar homes. Do you think these people should only be allowed to make so much money and then the rest be give to others? I dont mean hand money out to people. But I mean create a fund to help creat jobs by building business and funds to help people who are losing their homes. What do you think about it?

I welcome the subject of your discussions. Such thinking should comes from the minds of younger generation who can bringing good things to this world. In one of an English newspapers from middle east, they projected India as a cine-mad country. Cinema is a non productive industry. If you divert the invest from Cinema to some productive industry, the economy will grow. I am not for abolishing cine industry. But investing huge amount is a waste. If such situation comes then naturally the payment to actors and musicians will be commesurate with the work rhey perform.

Did you know that in Shakespearian England, actors were considered to be third-class citizens? Not too far above the beggars and street trash. Which is the way it ought to be still, in my opinion. When a sports hero or a movie star can make more in one year than a teacher can make in a lifetime, it shows that our priorities have become very skewed. So I fully agree with you, Hallmark.
