An email friend of mine is a dog lover and she sent me an email the other day telling me about this poodle she found roaming around looking lost, dirty and full of fleas. She took the dog in and cleaned it up. She planned on trying to find the rightful owner. While walking down the street with the poodle, a man in a car stopped her and told her a very sad story. Apparently he knew who owned the dog and she was a very bad pet owner according to him. He said she wouldn't be doing the dog a favour by brining it back to her. My friend then took the dog home and called the pound. They told her if she knew who the owner was she had to return the dog. This infuriated her especially since the pound had already been out to this other woman house 4 or 5 times with complaints about her terrible treatment towards animals. Can you believe they wanted that poor puppy returned to her! My friend slammed the phone down and didn't return the dog. Instead she found a loving home for him. The poodle is now in a great home with lots of love. My friend has vowed to take every dog this woman acquires away from her, kind of like a neighborhood Robin Hood lol. Do you agree or disagree with what she did and is doing? What's your thoughts on this story?

How sad. Poor dog/animals. In a way, she shoudln't have to remove every animal there. This woman should be charged. She should be reported to the animal rights/shelter place, like the ASPCA or another place. Some of those organizations can get the license to go to her place, and ban her of having anymore animals in her house. But I'm glad your friend nursed the poor dog back.

If it's the town animal control, they likely won't do anything. (Like my old neighbors called up animal control/care of the town, to wedge them in the chimney and kill them! And they did!)
So, it has to be seriously reported to animal rights organizations. I think you and your friend should, if you know she abuses. Poor guys.

I totally agree with her decision. It is a heartwarming story and want to thank you for sharing it!
I think it would have been shameful and irresponsible to return to the dog to an abusive home.
I really don't understand why people who are abusive to animals take them into their homes to begin with. It is so sad.
