Can you live alone?

My answer is no,which may seem incredible to you. I came across this topic when I was taking a shower tonight. This week-end, all of my other roommates went back to their homes, leaving me alone in the dormitory. I was extremely alert to every sound that my ears caught, worrying that something unusual happened.
Moreover, I dare not to sleep alone at night. Every slight sound can scare me because I believe in the existence of the "supernatural beings". Thus, tonight I have to move to my friend's dorm to sleep.
Can you live alone? How do you feel when you are sleeping at night alone in the house? Thank you for sharing with me.

I could live alone, but i'd always have my kids with me so i would never be alone totally, However i would be paranoid a lot if i was to live alone. I would be like you up all night lsitening to the sounds of the house wondering whats that ? whats that ? lol.

Wow I think it's nice to have kids around. Maybe years later, I'll have mine too. Finally, I found a reason to convince myself that this preferance is just simple.

I can't live with people! I love living alone, wouldn't have it any other way, I have my own space it's never invaded an I can do what I want when I want, cook, eat, sleep, wash, no interuptions, no one asking or nagging me to do things. I am far too independent, selfish and prefer to live alone. I can't live with anyone I have tried it and it doesn't work. I prefer my own company too much, it's what you get used to.

Wow~that's interesting. I enjoy being alont during the day time exactly because I can do whatever I want at any time. But at night, it's just not that comfortable for me. I suppose if I do need to sleep alone, I would try hard to get used to it. Thank you for your response.

we get use to the company of others there's nothing wrong with that but dont feel its a fear because that will make you more paranoid and could cause greater problem in the future!!

Yeah~I guess I should not pay that much attention to it. I just feel like starting this discussion at that time to collect some ideas which is what i usually did on mylot.
