Way back in December my doctor noticed some funny heart sounds, and sent me to the hospital for heart tests. I didn't think anything was serious about it, because I hadn't heard for such a long time. An appointment was made to get my results, I really didn't think anything was up. Than I got a real shock, the doctor said that your aorta is moderately to severely restricted and the cardiologist may consider replacing it. Yikes, isn't that the main valve in the heart. My G.P. put me on some pills to control my high blood pressure and I suggested loosing weight. I'm not really overweight but I always figure the less weight a person carries the better they'll be. I've had high blood pressure off and on since I was nine, but the older I'm getting the worse it is. Well, I'm really praying that between the pills and the loss of weight the aorta will fix itself. If I can get the blood pressure down, that might do the trick. If you could join me in that prayer I'd really appreciate it. I don't want to have a valve replacement, I think that would be open heart surgery and I'm a real chicken.
