Terrorists Will Be "Dancing In the Streets" If Obama Wins...

So says Representative Steve King, R-Iowa. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/ The blog states that "Rep. Steve King based his prediction on Obama's pledge to pull troops out of Iraq, his Kenyan heritage and his middle name, Hussein." "The radical Islamists, the al-Qaida … would be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on Sept. 11 because they would declare victory in this war on terror," King said. He also said, "His middle name does matter. It matters because they read a meaning into that." What do you think of King's remarks? Republican nominee Senator John McCain already denounced these comments but King "denounced his denouncement" as I heard on TV earlier tonight. I think the very idea that he'd say "his middle name does matter" destroys any credibility he could have had and I also disagree with his opinion that an Obama Presidency would mean the terrorists could or would declare victory. Does he not know al Qaeda did not exist in Iraq before we invaded? OK, I know there will be disagreements with me here so let's discuss it. Annie

How stupid someone can be? I'm not rooting for Obama (go Hillary!) but I think these kind of statements are outrageous. Unfortunately there are people who believe in it. There are people who believe Obama is muslim because he's black (WTF?) and don't vote for him for that. Even if he was a muslim what's the problem?

Wow! A voice of reason in a very unreasonable world! It's especially nice to hear from someone who isn't an Obama support but still sees these stupid comments for what they are - idiotic and outrageous. Annie

I think at this point, they will do or say anything to bring the others down. I do think Obama has a negative thing against him, and it is his name. I am worried that if he does get it someone will assinate him, just because of his name. I think it also matters to some of the people that are voting for others instead.

Since Ron Paul is not longer in the race. I think Obama is the last chance of having a somewhat good President. if Hillary or McCain win.. well let's just say.. all freedom and rights will be taken away from us. All in the name of security.

a ny Christian will tell you the scripture says in proverbs 6. Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Obama was trained as a child to be a muslim ! enough said

Even if this scripture were to be absolutely true in every case - which it certainly is NOT - it wouldn't matter because he is not and never was a Muslim. Who cares what religion any Presidential candidate is or was anyway? We have a separation of church and state in this country and as long as that's followed I'm fine with it. Annie

First of all, welcome to myLot and thanks for responding to my discussion! Now, I'd like to ask that you expand on your comment a bit here; what do you mean by they "dance alot on my street"? Do you mean this in relation to this post, i.e. having to do with Obama's middle name or his intentions to "withdraw our troops from Iraq"? Since you're a new member, here's a tip - try to make your responses a bit more than one sentence and to make them relevant to the topic of the discussion. Please don't take offense to this, I was also give a great deal of valuable advice when I was new here. Happy posting! Annie
