Missed Out, All Because I wanted Some Peace!

Yesterday, my husband was taking the Kids to a large toy shop because they had some vouchers left over from christmas and there was something they wanted. I was asked did I want to go,but seeing the chance to have a couple of hours of peace without 4 children under my feet, I said no I am ok I will stay here. How gutted was I when a couple of hours later my husband phones me and says oh we are just having some dinner in macdonalds before we finish shopping, then we will be home! I then felt really left out, especially as I had had nothing to eat and I love Macdonalds, I havent had one for ages. Poor me, I kept thinking, and they didnt even offer to fetch me anything back! But yes I know it was my own fault for not going in the first place. So has anyone else ever missed out on anything good, or a treat, because they refused to go along?

Yes I have and it sucks but then again the alone time is always nice too. I do it when I am away camping and the nieces and nephews are running wild and everyone is all wound up. I can hardly wait till they all go for ma hike or trip to the beach then I can sit by myself and read and it is soooo peaceful. I think it is a good trade off. It would have been nice if they had brought you something though...

Yes the time alone was great, and yes it would have been very nice for them to fetch me a little something. Thank you very much for responding!
