A few years ago when me and my boyfriend moved from one state to another, new parents, bills were tight when were were just getting resettled and our second baby on the way. I think our cable bill ended up at 300$ and we had to have it shut off because there was just other things that had to come first. At that time it wasn't that big a deal for me because I was busying bringing my first daughter to parks, library etc but after two months that is when it started bother me! I missed my battlestar galactica, my reality shows, even just some occasional news SO bad. And whereas before this I didnt care much for internet NOW I have a whole new appreciation for being able to have everything 'at your fingertips'. I had to keep going going going and it was a great experience because it thought me how to keep busy--if we hadn't gotten internet and cable back the third month. ;)

when I moved out of home and into my own place with my little girl I had not cabel or internet and I had never really thought about how i coped intill I read your mail and I hated it. I have recently signed up to have it all back and althoug I still find it hard to find something to watch or do, when I think what I was up to without it, my life was really sad as I would just watch pointless tv or spend loads of money phoning people to pass the time. Life in the house seems to be happier and quieter now aswell

I guess it would be easier if I was one who read the newspaper in the morning but Im not one of those, now Im into magazines so that would of helped but the kids kepts me the most busy. Still, at the end of the day I just NEED that time for myself to wind down so it was good that they were at a young age so i could do that with my books. Still, it didnt take but one month to realize, this sucks!

well i went okay. i have more time to read a book and do some crafts. here in the philippines specially when there is typhoon the electricity is out. so that means none of the above....lol. no television, no computer, no nothing. so we would rather bring out bored games or read books and do some crafts

Yeah I've had no internet or cable on many occasions in my life. Having no cable really isn't a big deal to me, as I'll just pop in a dvd. The internet is a different story, I'm on the computer everyday and go crazy if I can't. It is necessary sometimes though, as money can get tight..so I usually play the Sims 2, or read one of my many books.
