Do you ever make meat pies?

My parents grew up with Tout Que, all that was left over in the fridge. Mostly meat with some other stuff and spices. When my Dad's side of the family made it, it tasted like blood pudding. When my Mom''s side of the family made it, it tasted like whatever meat and stuffing. I would like to make a meat pie like Tourtiere some day. I have a friend who makes them. WE used to have a very expensive place that made them in town, but they closed. They made them taste like blood pudding. I would rather mine taste like meat and stuffing. If you make a meat pie is it like a pot pie? Tourtiere?
