Do you think that some of the really violent and x-rated type cartoons should be banned. I was looking at my dvr and noticed that my brother who is 24 taped off some cartoons from the cartoon channel and I was watching one and it was the most violent and x-rated cartoon i ever saw and this was on the cartoon network channel. Very disturbing.

I've never seen the x-rated type. I have seen violent cartoons but they've been violent for decades...Bugs bunny, Roadrunner and all of them blew each other up and dropped anvils on each other...I don't think it's ever been appropriate. They have a lot of cute cartoons...Winnie the Pooh, Dora, Arthur, Little Bill...I think Noggin and PBS are usually pretty safe as far as appropriate cartoons. The other networks are iffy...some are not for kids even though they are cartoons and should be monitored by parents.

I dont think they should be banned. They are usually on after midnight. However I dont think they should be on cartoon netwook. They should be on a different channel that kids cant access. Some of the cartoons are disturbing. The grim adventures of billy and mandy, ever seen it? Thats on at regular day hours and its aweful. I would never let my daughter watch it.

personaly i dont think they should be banned. they should move all of them to a time where the kids should be in bed anyways. or they have tvs now where you can block it. the simpsons and family guy is not really a cartoon for kids and it is on at a time where the kids should be sleeping, i think. however some of the ones like pokeman or what not teach them how to fight i think.?
