im very sry to hear all this complaints against islam.. the media has left a very wrong opinion bout islam among people..islam itself means peace and love..we dun force people to convert to islam nor do we stop people from leaving islam... every religion has its rights to preach thier own religion... n every one is given the rights to practice what they want to.. there are more converts to islam becos of the love the love and brotherly hood bond that we share.. dun jus blame the religion cos of the terrorist organisations... extremists are present in all the religions they share thier own ideas but that doesnt mean the religion is based on terrorism... even christain missionaries forced people to convert to christianity n killed people who refused.( no offence...jus trying to prove my point) if thats the case is what bush trying to do rite?? is he takin the world by force or is islam trying to?? can u point any islam based leader or organisation waging open war to take over the country??? every one has thier own opinion...pls dun hurt others sentiments unless or untill u have a clear idea..we want to spread love not hatred... people say muslims hate people from other religion but as much as people from india are treated in pakistan the muslims indians are not treated with dat dignity smetimes in india... there are sme minus points every were but please dun base the whole religion on those.. we dun hate ny body..we consider everpne as brothers and we are here to share love n peace...

"every one is given the rights to practice what they want to" this is not correct and you know that very well. Without going into who or what is terrorism, I would like to say that all over the world there are no more nations based on religion except Muslim nations. We no longer have Christian nations or Hindu nations but muslims are trying to convert more and more nations into Islamic states with the Sharia as the law and in these nations, people of other faith cannot openly follow their own religion. I have even heard that you can be arrested in Saudi Arabia if you are caught with a bible! this is something that is definitly not peaceful. Islamic nations are trying to say that either you convert and stay here, or loose your freedom or leave this country. Yet muslims are going to every secular nation on this earth and enjoying their full liberty to work, live, practice and propagate Islam. They are following their own personal law and having their own school and curricula. This contradiction is gradually becoming more and more unacceptable to non-muslims and giving rise to more anger and conflct. I respect all religion but I sincerely think that Islamic nations should become more tolerant and secular in their dealings with non-muslim citizens.

i agree with u jsharriz. i think the opinion that blame Islam as terrorist (even want to dominate the world) because many media (tv,newspaper etc) is always face islam from wrong other sides. They don't know bout Islam. They just do for their job that named journalist without learn deeper bout Islam. As U say Islam itself means peace and love. i'm invite all of u to learn bout Islam in my own country Indonesia, biggest muslim life here, that keeps peace and life together with about 4 others religions. Otherways, U should know Indonesia is not only Jakarta or Bali but it's about 18,000 island here. So please don't generally terrorist from they background religions, but what they want to do that. Islam is not terrorist...

rev, you know about Islam a bit more than others maybe but you keep lying about it. you said bad things about Islam almost everytime you respond to a discussion about Islam even though many scholars out there appreciate the goodness of Islam. because of you are a liar and promote negative things everyday then you become a depress and diabetic woman arent you? why dont you ask God, whoever He is (which I believe He is not a long hair man who is betrayed by his own friend or merely a spirit), to show you the truth about Islam?

"my friend my God Yaweh (not Allah) has shown me the truth and if you ask him instead of the false God you worship he will, show you the truth also and the truth will set you free!" Now, you use polite language. Are you sure you got the truth? If you know the truth and you applied it then you will arrive at a state of purity. In a state of purity you will have pure soul and pure mind and consequently you will become calm, helpful, open minded, etc ie when you in the crowd people will feel confortable with you and you will feel confortable with people whoever they are. So, you answer me, are you sure you got the truth? How can you say that you got the truth while you are a depressed woman and I feel sick everytime I read your writing? I talk to several bible followers, priests and volunteers, they are far better than you. I respect them as they also respect Islam which my religion. When I talk with them I feel good, when i read your writing I fell sick and I think you are sick..

lol...what about christianity? what about judaism? doesn't these religions retaliate against "traitors"? or those who don't belong to these religions? after all, religion is not about God, it's only about power. EVERY RELIGION! just consider every religion a political party. that's why there is this struggle to get as many followers as they can. coz the belivers mean money and support. that's all. whoever thinks that because he/she is a christian/muslim/whatever, he/she will go to heaven, is a big idiot. If there is a God, i don't think He cares about the religion you belong to, but the way you live your life. And, if He doesn't consider only this, then He is an idiot. :)

and, please, PLEASE, DON'T SAY MUSLIMS HATE NON-MUSLIMS, BECAUSE IT IS NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was born a christian, and have many muslim friends (where i live and around the world). If i'd have to make a top 10 of my friends, 7 of them would be muslim, and, i repeat, I AM NOT MUSLIM. And, when it comes to discussing religion and God and life, i have found muslims to be more open-minded than Christians. well, maybe because christianity is based on "believe and not seek" and "ignorance is bliss".

Christianity it based on "believe and not seek"...answer me this: have you ever read a bible? Nothing could be further from the truth. It is Islam that practices unquestioning obedience because we all know Muslims are nothing more than slaves to Allah and slaves have only to obey, not to question. Christians, on the other hand see themselves as children of God and therefore have a parent/child relationship with God. Christians are taught that the very Spirit of God resides in them, teaching them and leading them. Muslims should be so lucky to have such an intimate relationship with their god. This so called "scholarly" Islam is little more than lip service; there is no real questioning or criticism because Muslims believe that to truly question or criticize is to blasphemy because they believe the Quran is the "uncreated" word of god despite not having one ounce of proof. Which is why Islam is chock full of arbitrary laws and rules that have little use in a modern society and why most of the Muslim world lives the same way it lived 1500 years ago and why even now women in the Muslim world are treated like property.

Dear Sabbathandruth, I do hope every religions have some or many people in them who have a very bad nature of fighting in the name of their own religions, but we do have keep in mind that there are other side of people are who well known to their religion on that part were peace and love is more focused. Hence I feel all religions with the backness of peace and love will always win. Those who practice certain religions and who do not go according to those taught in that may have to face bitter consequences. The freedom to have any religion is justifiable but to follow the positive side of that religion might be the most important part. I had seen cruel people in every religions except very few like Budism, may be I had not heard its other side.

the one you have watched does not does not include the whole of muslims,as you have said they are muslims from london.i dont think we should should judge them right away, since not all muslims wanted to have bloodshed and violence.the thing you have watched is just a small fraction of the whole muslims.im a christian but i believe that we must not judge them just because their brothers in london do it does not mean that the muslims in singapore do it as well or in any other parts of the world.we have to make sure first before we give them our judgement...

Hi there, I see that your discussion is full of hatred against Islam. However let me tell you that no one can be converted by force in Islam. The Holy Quran states in Chapter 2 Verse 256, that there is no compulsion in religion. Regarding the extremists in Islam who try to convert people by force or to kill those who convert from Islam to another religion are wrong. However, that is not a reason to blame the whole Islamic community. There are approximately 2 billion of Muslims worldwide, if all od them were terrorists, life on earth would have be extinct since a long time ago. However, terrorists killing & hating in the name of Islam form an insignificant percentage of the whole community. Therefore, I agree that terrorists and ONLY TERRORISTS should be deported from the country.

There are only about a billion Muslims world wide, but even so, if even 2% of Muslims are terrorists or extremists, that's like 20 MILLION people. Hardly an "insignificant number", wouldn't you say?

well i think this very reason is y the u.s. is such a great country, because we can convert to whatever religion without threats being made to us, (only by family)lol! but i do agree, everyone should have the freedom of picking their religion.

I think everyone should have the ability to choose their own religion. We cannot tell people what they should or should not believe. I tell people about what I believe and why i believe it, but I would never force someone to believe the same as I do.

really? i am surprised... many have converted fromone religion to another. people should be free to choose what they want to believe and they should not be punished. if this is the case, i think they have not fully understood the true human emotion... or they wanted to be away from all aspects of being human? i do not know about muslims and islam... i dont want to talk against them.. i just hope some people will be more thinking of others. maybe they do not want to dominate... it could have been one person's wrong decision? the leader perhaps??

That is harsh! I believe that everyone has the right to their own choice of religion or lack of it so very strongly that I did not have any of my children baptized into the religion that I was raised in. Instead we talked about the various religions and they met people of different religions and even attended religious services of others. They are informed and open minded and the choice is entirely their own as it should be.

Yes everyone should have freedom to pick their own religion. From birth we follow our parents religion and values but when we grow big we find our answers in some other religion then we are free to choose that religion.

i don't hate any religion even if you are a muslim...i have lots of friends who are muslims but they are different from others...they even afraid to their fellow muslim brothers...not only for muslims but all other religions we mus be fair in treating others specially when they are not same on our belief...freedom of religion is a long process and not all country grant it to their country men...many religions now still they struggle for acquiring the freedom to exercise their faith...i know some of the religions that they are treated as like terrorist to almost people in the world specially the islamic countries...but time comes they will win, god won't allow that bad will dwell them.
