Swearing in movies

I love movies but swearing really bugs me. If it's occasional then I don't mind but when every second word is the F word it sucks, especially if I like the movie alot. Does this bug anyone else? I would love it if they made tame versions of movies.

It does not bother me because it is a swear word, it bothers me because I hear the same word so many times, that it becomes annoying.

I do not also enjoy curses and swearing in the movies, but when a scene seems to be in need of one, I do not mind. Cursing and swearing is mostly common in action and rated movies. I do not enjoy watching those kind of movies a lot. I rarely watch action movies. I enjoy watching chick flicks and horror movies. I rarely hear cursing in chick flicks but in horror movies , there is quite a lot of cursing and swearing going on which I think is needed in the scene.

it bugs me too. i do see a lot of foreign, mostly american movies with too much swearing and all. i remember my mom told my brother to get her korean dramas or movies cause all she remembers of of american movies she sees are people or teenagers swearing and fighting with each other.

Most of the time I feel that swearing in the movies is unwarranted. I can't understand why film makers and script writers feel it is necessary to fill the movie with swearing all the time, although there are occasions when the odd word or two can be relevant

It annoys me and make me uninterested in watching the whole movie. The worst I think is Notting Hill when Spike saw Anna Scott in the bath. It really did horrify me. How can they include God's name in it?

Movies are (or pretend to be) art works. Well in art, what matters more is originality, authenticity. Usually, in art, as in movies, the scenes have to seem natural enough to reflect real life, if the script is not fantastic...if it is inspired from the real life. That is basically why we will hear a lot of swearing in movies and not only..maybe we should not swear too much in the real life, for the movies wouldn't borrow that from us (impossible, right?). Art is a form of expression and this is totally free, as it needs to be...all we can do is to control the whole thing, by rating it according to its type: bad language, violent scenes...etc...just to warn sensible people that the content is not not what they expect.

I certainly agree with you. I don't like it either. They don't sound that good. The substance can still be there without those words. i hope they can make changes moving forward.
