Do you like these Multiplex Theaters?

I hate them. I was out at a movie last night. It was playing at the Odeon 7 in theater 7. It was a great movie but the thing that annoyed me was in quiet parts of the movie you could hear the shoot'em up in the next theater. I am paying good money to watch one movie not listen to two! We were up on the third floor and the closest bathroom was in the basement. Talk about convenience and customer comfort! The snack bar was only open on the first floor. Every last inch of available space was movie theater! A few weeks ago I was at an old theater in town. One screen. One floor. One movie to listen to. It was a great experience. They had to close that theater last week as they couldn't compete with the multiplexes. I think it is a sad sign of the times that we can no longer have a total movie experience in a good theater. What do you think of the multi-plexes? Like them or hate them?

unfortunately my experience i have to say is exactly the same, i sometimes wonder why i still go to multiplex cinemas, one advantage though i do notice is a slight price difference compared to smaller cinemas that charge more, but all an all you still do pay good money for the environment and it can be extremely distracting when outside noises are evident, fortunately as the multiplex cinema is on one floor it does make it more convenient for the amenities.

I miss the days of the single movie theatre and real butter on the popcorn. I really miss the drive in theatre too. Now that was an experience.
