I like my current boss. He isnt real strict-yet he wants the work done. We actually have fun most days/nights. And the work gets done. Past bosses I hate-are the kind that demand things be done just so-so. Instead of letting you know nicely like your a person instead of a dog. At one time I had 10 bosses and they all wanted differnt things-you cannot please that many people-I quit-LOL

Hello Titaniumsoul, I prefer a boss who is honest, ethical, approachable, appreciative of the help, open to ideas regarding efficiency and expansion, and not a micro-manager. What I mean by "appreciative" is: willing to pay a reasonable salary for a reasonable days work, and gives credit where credit is due. I abhor backstabbing bosses. Or the 'type' who are afraid to confront others about their ideas, goal, or efforts. As this tends to backfire into inappropriately directed anger, usually at the worst times. I have worked with the same organization for about a decade. We are a small company, where each team-member is highly valued. The C.E.O. is good person, who above all values that the staff runs the business. He is able and thrilled to be able to travel, and engage his own hobbies & interests. As he is confident that the rest of the staff are committed to the highest ethical standards regarding our products and attentive customer service. Of course, we (the staff) also deeply value the autonomy! Some folks are turned off by 'sticklers'. Meaning the type who demands adherence to the rules, regarding the tiniest details. That doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I rather appreciate it, because that means that fewer problems arise down the road.

I hate bosses that thinks they are so much better than me..I feel don't ask me to do something you wouldn't do..I had a boss that would flip out if she had to pick up a dirty dish towel. She would ask me to do a job that was to be done by a male. She would ask someone to do a job and they would tell her no...Then she would come to me and tell me to do the job..Well one day she did this and I told her no...Go back and tell the person that told you no first to do it...I have to say she was a good listener if I needed to talk...As far as a boss she was terrible...
