What do you do when you receive chain letters?

I'm sure most of us have received a chain letter either by mail, by text or e-mail. Chain letters are those letters which tells us of a certain good thing or fortune will come to us if we pass the letter, but we will receive misfortunes or something bad will happen to us if we ignore, just keep it or if we discontinue the passing of the letter. At first, I make it a point to circulate the letters immediately because I was really afraid that something bad will happen to me. But several times, I received more than a copy of the same letter. I will be sending them to my acquaintances and friends as anonymous and they will be sending a copy to me also not knowing that it was me who sent it. It's quite funny and annoying sometimes to be receiving and sending the same so I ignored it. Now, I don't pass any chain letters anymore. If the content is really serious and I think its for a good cause, I pray for them instead that their petitions would be granted. Have you received any chain letter? Does it bothered you also? What do you do when you receive a chain letter?

Hello heart, I do not pass them on, I find them very annoying. years ago I remember as a child my grandparents receiving chain letters in the mail, they were hand written; and my grandmother was so afraid of getting bad luck if she didn't pass it on. She would sit for hours writing out all of these letters to mail out. no copy machines or anything to make it easier, it was done the old fashion way. can you imagine that!

I have also done that! When I was in my elementary, I don't know if it was fad or something but chain letters are everywhere. I would spend hours writing it and even spending money for postage just to be spared from the curse.

I recieved a lot in my emails or sometimes in the sites i joined with. I normally delete it without reading the entire message. But sometimes there are chain letters with good message that i take time to read. Rare cases that i do pass the chain letter i recieved, it may for a good cause or the content was worth reading.

I think email is the most used medium to circulate chain letters. I read also those letters with good intention but I still wonder why they have to deadlines or due dates on it? If it is for a good cause...why scare people?

What i usually do is I always think first if I can do that task and it is easy no worries for me. But if I know that I cannot make it on the certain time frame i dont accept it I rather pass the letter and leave it there.

I think we should not believe that if we broke the letter, something bad will happen to us. If we do nothing bad to anybody, why worry of such misfortunes that might come to us.

Chain letter are nasty pernicious things that prey on peoples susceptibilities. I alway throw them away or return to sender. No bad luck will befall you if you don't send them on. Good luck.

I don't read them (usually). I never forward them (except when I find it interesting and worth sharing with friends) but most of the time I delete them. It crowded my inbox. I don't believe in it too.

Most of the chain letters are garbage...just a waste of time.
