When you dine in a restaurant, and your trying to eat fried chicken like KFC perhaps, do you feel the urge not to use your hands even if it's the way it should be eaten?
I myself have experience this sometimes, and my reasoning depends each day I try to eat at KFC. Sometimes it would be about not getting my hands oily and sometimes it would be about getting embarrass in front of some people. Although I do use hands to eat chicken, most of the time I try to use utensils to eat them.

I get what you mean . It really is embarrassing to eat using your hands in front of a lady, specially if she's your type.

I do think using hands is the best way, as you can easily eat all of the meat on the chicken that way. Using utensils is so hard if you want to eat all of the meat in one part of the chicken. Hehe... that's why I usually just have the meal on the go if I want to eat KFC's fried chicken.

well i am not used to just using my hands to eat. i always use spoons and fork. even if i eat shrimp i use fork and spoon. my wife uses her hands specially now that we have a two year old son. she makes sure that what our baby eats are bite size perfect for a two year old mouth.

I use fork and knife when I eat chicken in restaurant or fastfood but when I'm at home it's the hands I use. The reason is because I don't want to mess my hands outside while eating. I think you could also use your hands if you want to while dining out. I think it's in the manner of holding and biting your chicken. If you hold your chicken and bite eat slowly and carefully, it's not bad to look at.

It used to bother me when I ate chicken in a restaurant. Now, I pick up the chicken and bite it just as chicken is supposed to be eaten. The only time I use a utensil is when it is broiled. That is tender chicken that comes off easily and also makes a mess of the hands. So I prefer eating it with a fork. It doesn't embarrass me any longer to eat chicken with my fingers. If you look around, most everyone will be doing it. .

When I am in a restaurant, or at home, I always use my hands when eating fried chiken, or chicken wings. It's just easier that way. There are some foods that one can not eat with a knife and fork easily.

Yes, when out in public I use a fork. I don't want people to think that I have no manners. But on the other hand, if it is chicken strips from KFC I have no problems just picking strips up with my hand and devouring them.

Yea, haha... eating chicken strips, onion rings etc... are no problem to me... it's when they are chicken with still bones with them are the problem.

well, i believe chicken is supposed to be finger foods,.meaning you can eat that with even without spoon and fork.,so for me its ok if you'll use your hands or finger to eat the chicken.,that wouldn't be the problem.,Ü have a nice day ahead!

I tend to do that too when I am really hungry or people around me are mostly males. When there are some pretty girls around me though... haha... just can't seem to do it.

I don't eat meat so I don't order chicken but if I were to eat meat, I would eat KFC with my hands and any chicken at home or in a restaurant with a fork and knife... The KFC is take out eaten in my family in the past on picnics and as such was eaten with fingers with considerable licking of fingers as it was, after all, supposed to be "finger licking good".

I prefer eating friend chicken with my hands. Consider this, that friend chicken is finger-food!
But sometimes, people tend to watch you eat if you don't use your utensils in a fastfood. But it's so much easier eating friend chicken with your hands, don't you think?

Most of the time I do use my hands when eating my very favorite meat -- chicken meat. :D I love chicken dishes. I like eating them to the bone.
The best roasted chicken is from KFC hehehe.. i love the way they cook it because they do hav espicy roasted chicken and the chili is just right, not too much.

well, i only use hands eating my fried chicken at home - and this means i am eating chicken wings. :) if i am at KFC's or any fast food joints or restaurants, i dont usually use my hands eating. it can be really messy and it can be annoying having to go up and wash often.

KFC chicken i made to eat with your hands, you always see them eating it with their hands in all the commericals on TV. I do too soemtimes try to use the fork they give you, jut to keep the grease off my hands, but don't think eating that way makes it as enjoyable as just sitting down and eating it with your hands. Guess it is to each his own. I also don't like to eat infront of a bunch of people. I love the dark meat, white meat has laways been too dry for me and I love the new pot pies they have. I found a recipe that makes the crust on the chicken taste just like KFC, email me and I will send it to you.

My father could really use the utensils pretty well when we dine out. I think KFC is fast food service since their rice is packed when served.
Anyway, I would eat fried chicken with my hands. I don't care on whose looking, when I'm hungry, I just silently eat my food and be surprised later on when I realize that I'm the first one to finish when I eat out with friends. Something nice and an excuse on being a guy when you eat somethings like that I do try to eat fried chicken with just the utensils but, it takes me longer than usual. Mostly on restaurants due to the utensils available are more accomodating compared to those we get to use on fast foods.

"Finger liki'n Good" or "Sarap to the bones" (local version), yeah i like those phrases, i do use my hands when i'm eating chicken PRIVATELY, or when the occation calls for it, but when the occation has a fine dinning theme or in a high class restaurant, i use fork and knife, just to adopt to the occation.
