What have you done to help with your sleeplessness?

I have started taking Melatonin. It has worked great and now I get at least 5 straight hours of sleep. Have any of you tried this? It was suggested by my son's doctor because he can't sleep. I couldn't believe a doctor recommending something that is natural. Good for him to do that.

I take a number of RX's, sleeping pill, muscle relaxer, etc., since I have illnesses that make it hard to sleep and stay asleep(Fibromyalgia, RA, Lupus, Chronic fatigue). I don't recommend all I take unless you actually need them. I do suggest Melatonin/Valarian combo.

The best thing i can do to get a nice sleep at night is to have classical music running into my ears.In that way i can meditate and think or pretend that im in a solemn place having a good snooze

I have to take melatonin AND imovane (Canadian Lunesta), I am lucky to get a 6-7 hour sleep with that. I had a sleep study done in 2006 and nada was found.

I have to take Benadryl or some sort of sleeping tablet. This still does not give me as much sleep as I need. I used to take melatonin but found that it does not help me.
