I think there is no difference between yog and pilates.Because both are working same. Both reduce fat and strengthen the body.Afterall i always prefer yoga, because yoga can build muscle..Please see the article at

Well to be honest I haven't really tried Yoga but I owuld have to say that it is my favorite out of the 2 simply because I did try Pilates and I found that they made my joints hurt, which is wierd, becuase it's supposed to be so low impact, but it did. it made my knees hurt alot.

I have done both and preferred yoga. Pilates does more for your core strength and will tone your body better but I never felt much benefit from doing pilates.
I just like yoga better. I love the feeling of stretching out muscles and the calmness it brings to my mind and body.

well... in my opinion... i believe that yoga is for making your body flexible and helps you lose a few pounds.. ^_^ weights help you in growing and building up your muscles, it helps you burn fats faster than in yoga.. ^_^ weights are used mainly in toning your muscles, building it up, or how you want your muscles to be like.. ^_^ if you do both yoga and weight... it's kinda hard considering that yoga makes you flexible, slim body.. ^_^ and weights doesn't.. it just makes you have a nice, strong, and muscular body.. ^_^
Just an opinion.. ^_^
