Monday, Monday...

It's Monday. I'm sure most of you already knew that, lol...though I suppose for some mylotters it may be Tuesday already! Anyways, I was thinking about how Monday used to mean a terrible day at work or school - thinking of the whole wek ahead or being bombarded by projects or phone calls or problems that came up since Friday. Now for me Mondays are the day I take my son to pre-school & do housework I've been putting off...I usually spend the afternoons doing what I'm doing right now - working online & mylotting at the same time :) Later tonight I'll probably make dinner. Sure this isn't exceptionally exciting, but it's Monday afterall! So what do you do on Mondays? Do you work or do you spend the time some other way? Is your Monday typically more exciting than mine?

Now that we are retired, Monday is like my Friday used to be, as I try to do things like housework and filing on the weekends and then finish up tasks that require calling businesses or accessing information that would be unavailable during the weekend. Usually, but not always we stay home and plan what we are going to go out and do on Tuesday! We plan to stay out of the rush hour traffic and try to give the M-F 9-5ers their space as we remember what it was like to have to fight the crowds and also we enjoy going out at times when fewer people are shopping.

It is nice to get out of the 9-5 cycle, that's for sure!

Since I don't work anymore it doesn't make much difference to me if it is Monday or any other day, except that my husband goes back to work on Monday's after being off for the weekend. I usually do my laundry on Mondays but if it doesn't get done, oh well, I can do it tomorrow. But today is Monday for me, three weeks after the monday you posted this discussion and I am doing my laundry and I am almost finished. I am working on the computer by posting here in mylot and I do more on Mondays because I don't do much posting on the weekends when my husband is home. So I am trying to make up for the weekend as I like to post 25 responses a day. So today I have to respond to 40 discussions to make up and I am at 38 responses after this one. I only have two more to go and then I will go finish getting supper ready because my husband will be home in about half an hour. I have most of it ready, I just have to make a salad yet and then I am done.

Well I work from home. So I wake up eat. then get to work on the computer. I am working from home now. I take breaks to visit my Yuwie page or talk here on mylot. Mylot is cool cause I can talk to people and make some extra money while I do it.

i consider monday to be the best day of the week because i am looking forward to trade in the stock market. the stock market is closed during the weekend so i hate it because i can't make money during the weekend.

I believe Monday is the same for most people. It's the beginning of the work week and we have in our heads all that we have to do. But what I do on a Monday is go to work, listen to how the children of today have no respect for themselves or for teachers ( I work in a high school), then I come home and cook if I have to, tell the boys to do their homework and later tell them to get their clothes ready for the next day. Straighten up a bit and then hit the shower then sheets. See, mine isn't that exciting either :)

I think it would be hard to work in a high school...I know I couldn't stand it as a student! So much politics between teachers! And a lot of drama between the kids!

For me Monday is just another school day. I usually don't work Mondays, and I spend my evening doing homework, or hitting the gym, it usually isn't too busy.
