Ever get up in the morning, look in the mirror and wonder who is looking back?

I have and still do wonder this. I don't know why but it still seems to suprise me when I see how much I have aged. I guess because in my mind I'm still 18 years old. The mind says one thing and the eyes and body say another. I had this conversation with a lady a few weeks ago. she said, I know what you mean I look in the mirror and I see my mother. Have you had these feelings yet?

yes, I look in the mirror and feel exactly the same. I see new little lines appearing under my eyes and there is not a damn thing I can do to stop it! I see myself slowly aging and I am not growing old gracefully, I hate it! The only thing I havent seen when I look in the mirror is my mum, which wont be too bad because she is good for her age.

I hear ya. I have a full set of luggage now. the bags have expanded. My husband still tells me I'm pretty. I suppose he'll need new glasses real soon. My mom was a pretty lady to, but she still hated her wrinkles as much as me.

Yes I have for I will be the big 4-0 this year God willing and I find myself looking at myself saying: " I can't believe I am going to be 40! First of all, I don't feel it and second of all, it makes me kinda sad because of the fact that I didn't do as much with my life as I could or should have.
