Long "Looking Up" delays within the past week or so

Has anyone here experienced this? A lot of FIrefox users are starting to report similar problems. It starts when trying to hit a hyperlink on a web site. The system appears to hang, FIrefox says it's looking up the site and there it sits, sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes several minutes and then either goes to the site or times out. If you try to click again, the browser says "stopped" and there you sit until the DNS request times out. Open IE and it's business as usual. The developers at Mozilla are disavowing any issues with the current release so if you're having problems like this, make sure you go to their forums and inundate them with postings about it. It's the only way to get their attention. I'm not giving up Firefox without a fight but I kinda like being able to surf the Net while I'm surfing the Net, you know?

Yeah, I've noticed a little more lag during loading lately. Sometimes it times out and I have to refresh. I'm not tooooo worried about it though. I recently nuked my HDD and reloaded windows, so I'm working with a vanilla install of FF at the moment, it seems to be healthier. Maybe it is caused by an add-on?
