October Road...

So, the guy who plays Rooster was on Gilmore Girls and played this quirky guy named Kirk. Rooster is also a very quirky character. So, on tonight's episode, one of the guy's ex-girlfriends is back in town. Her name is Rory Dunlap, if I heard that correctly. Rory was the main character on Gilmore Girls. Are the writers of October Road sort of trying to make a resemblance of October Road to Gilmore Girls?

I don't think they are. I think it was probably just a coincidence. I don't think October road is anything like gilmore girls. maybe they through it in there as a joke to see if anyone would notice, but not for it to mean anything.

You may be right that they are throwing little stuff in to see if anyone would notice. And, perhaps, the guy that plays Rooster and who played Kirk could just have been somewhat typecast for the role. Thank you for your response.
