Sharing todays God'sword from Rbc ministries.. READ: Luke 15:11-24 When he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck. Jesus’ most memorable story, The Prodigal Son, ends with a banquet scene, featuring as its hero a good-for-nothing who has soiled the family reputation. Those judged undesirable by everyone else—like the prodigal son—are infinitely desirable to God. When one of them turns to God, a party breaks out (Luke 15:22-24). In the Old Testament, levitical laws guarded against contagion. Among the things that would contaminate a person were contact with certain animals, carcasses, or the sick. But Jesus reversed the process. Rather than becoming contaminated by what was unclean, He made the unclean whole. I sense in Jesus a fulfillment, not an abolition, of the Old Testament laws. God had hallowed creation by separating the sacred from the profane, the clean from the unclean. Jesus did not cancel out this hallowing principle; rather He changed its source. Because of God’s great grace, we can be agents of His holiness, for He now dwells within us. We can seek, as Jesus did, for ways to be a source of holiness. The sick and the maimed are not hot spots of contamination but potential reservoirs of God’s mercy. We are called to extend that mercy, to be conveyers of grace, not avoiders of contagion. Like Jesus, we can help make the “unclean” clean. — Philip Yancey For Further Study According to Philippians 2:14, how should we “do all things”? What is the result for us, and what does that mean for our world? (v.15). No one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. A day to look into God's for today and find the importance of God's word in our life.

Hey Zelmarq, thanks so much for sharing the beautiful word of God with us. It has really touched me, I always read that verse but not into that much detail. I think I need someone to be elaborating this things to me. Its like I have heard it for the first time. yes to God when a sinners comes home it becomes party time. Even the good book says that when a person repents his/her sins and accepts Jesus as his/her personal savior the angels sing and praise God. Thanks alot my friend.

You are most welcome and all I can say is that to God be the glory. He works the pieces in our lives and I thnk Him that even here on mylot we will be able to touch lives by reminding each and everyone that His word is really important to our lives. A time where we can see God working and using people to reach out His word to those who really need it. Yes its indeed a great celebration when a soul accepts Him as Lord and savior and its evry Christian's duty to take part in the great harvest. There are still a lot of work to do and we need more people to reach out to those who are still in the dark.

Zelmarq, thanks for your spiritual uplift to me. Sometimes we are very busy we even forget to read the word of God. It is good to come here and get the spiritual part and not only the ranting and worldly stuff. Thanks for the Br. God bless.

Dear Zelmarq, thank you so much that you listen to God's voice and that you spread His Word into the world. You will never know how much this piece means in my life today. I'm going through a very tough time in my life and battles with where I stand in God's eyes at the moment. I know that He will look after me and protect me no matter what, but I must shed some baggage that I've carried through my whole life. Thank you so much. God does work in misterious ways!

I am glad that through simply posting this today I have helped someone, posted this coz I have been blessed and I am pleased that somehow it has touched other people's lives and I thank God for giving me the wisdom to post this here. We all have baggages that we carry, i am also carrying heavy one but had I carried it on my own I know I wouldnt survive, God is carrying those loads with us.Reading His word and having a personal relationship with Him is the way to that life of peace and joy that is only found in our Lord savior Jesus Christ. have a nice day!

Amen! There are those who need God very much.. and then there are those who are so good (in their own eyes) they don't need him at all..
