I lived with my husband before we married. I don't know if it is better.But it does prepare you for each others habits. So living together may be useful for some people.

I do not think that cohabitation is a good idea at all. it robs the woman of her youth! if ya love each other enough to play married, then get married! it is easier all the way around. especially when children become a part of the equation.
