I'm pretty excited about this announcment. A friend and I are working on a game engine for a simple and short 2D RPG. What do you think about this announcment and are you working on an XNA game?

I am very excited at this announcement. This is what got me interested into researching and learning on what C# was so I could make my own games for the Xbox 360. The only bad thing about the program is that it costs $100 per year, for a premium membership (plus you have to add in the cost of XBox Live itself).

XNA is very cool looking stuff. Alas it seams to have been waisted by main developers who are throwing out sub-standard games and then changing 800 points for them. (Don't get me wrong, it has some absolute gems as well. But the drowning in bad games) I hope the new name change (to Indy Games) will make people question if their game is ready for prime time and if it is not take it back for a little reworking.

I think this is exciting news. I have grown to love XNA in it's simplicity. I can't wait to see if I can get my game up on xboxlive.
