Well honestly, I would be upset if he remarried like a year later, that would be a sign that he really didn't miss me or take time to grieve... but I wouldn't want him to be in prison either with grief forever. Yes eventually I would want him to move on, when the time is right.

a year is way to soon ,my step mother did that after my dad pasted away and it kinda pissed me off.

That must have been hard for you, and I am sorry for that. I agree, 1 year is too soon!! When the time is right however, I think it's acceptable, if the widow/er wants to move on that way.
