Crochet doilies

Poinsettia doily in crochet - I have used knitting cotton - red, white, yellow and green.
The only problem is here you have to keep cutting off the thread and joining it again. The finishing takes a bit of time.

I love doing crochet as also does my mum. I have made here a crochet poinsettia doily. Here you have to keep cutting and joining threads. I hate doing the finishing, but you have to..... I have made this in knitting cotton.

That is very pretty. I wish I could figure out the instructions for the doilies and lacy things. I have a lot of the thread to make them with, but I don't have any luck when I try. I think I need someone right here showing me how to do the different fancy stitches. All I seem lucky enough to understand is some basic afghans.

oh your work is beautiful, I have a few pieces that my mum had, My mum used to do embroidery and had a friend crochet all the edges and she had quite a few doilies made by this lady and they were really beautiful, I haven't seen anyone crocheting for years, good on you...

That's a very nice doily! I also make crochets but I just do it whenever I have time. I have just finished a crocheted swimsuit for my daughter and she liked it. She told me to make her another one in red.
