Or do you do most of it in person, or on the telephone? I do most of mine on the telephone. I have all my bills set up to my account and all I have to do is phone topay them. It is so much quicker and easier than going out to pay them. I do have to go and put money into my account every month so I can pay them. But once the money is in my account it is so easy tojust phone and pay them. I don't bank online because I don't really know how, and also because I don't want too much information about me on the internet. I know when I put my name in google and search it a lot of things come up about myself, like all the sites that I work on, including mylot. So I would be afraid that my banking information might come up too.

Online banking is not safe, I had online banking and was hit by a online attacker who put a program onto my computer that sent them the information they needed to withdraw over $2500. out of my account, it took going to the police and filing a police report to get the bank to stop the transactions, they just kept givingit out to this person no matter what I said, their reply was it is going out through the debit card and we have no way of knowwing if it is me doing it or not, so they can't stop it. No way of knowing I'm telling you it isn't me, at least try to find out where it is going. Once stopped it also took me over 6 months of fighting them while they ran their investigation to get the money back and then they refused to pay me the money I had to put out for returned checks. 6 months of investigation found that it was a bank error and I had done nothing wrong, they run a bill for $624. for return check fees and refused to take that off and seen it to the check reporting place and refuses to take it out, now I have to wait 3 years for it to clear before I can open an account again. They was some ticked off when the letter came and they had to give the money back. I had to pay $45. in fees just for one $6.00 check. I think once you are found that you didn't cause the problem then law should make them pay the fees that you was charged, I notice now as I go through town, that the bank that did this has a different name on it. Guess once they had to give the people's money back they took they went belly up. Not all banks are safe, I don't know about doing business on the phone, never tried, I just liked the idea that my bills would be paid automatic online every month and with direct deposit i could enjoy the things I like to do instead of running to the bank and all over town to pay my bills. I now pay them with cash and have no problems.

I do all of my banking online. The only time I pay bills by phone is when the payment will not make it there on time if I do it through my online banking bill pay account. I feel very secure doing it that way because I have Norton antivirus and Norton firewall on my computer and it is very secure. Also, if someone hacked into the banks computers and stole my identity, the bank would be responsible for it and they would have to refund my account.
