can u help me figure out what's wrong with the gembird webcam software ?

one of my friends asked me to try and set up this gembird webcam that he got on my computer in order to see if it works. it even came with an installation cd with all drivers but everytime i tried installing it it would tell me something about the incompatibility with windows xp . now i know the cd came with drivers designed for windows xp . i even went to their site , downloaded the software but it still wouldnt work so could you please help me solve this problem ?
