My first Stephen King book was Misery. I was curious and found it at the store one day and purchased it. I was intruiged. I liked the story, it kept me going and I felt like the main character. It was a total heart racer. Since I've read many books by Mr. King. He never ever fails to impress. Another one I like by him is a story called The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, it's very good, not even a horror book, but it's a total must read.

Cujo was the very first book I read by Stephen King and after that I was hooked. Insomnia was a really good book. I started reading it when I had a bought of insomnia myself. Luckily I never had anything happen like it did to the main character when he had insomnia. Dolores Claiborne is also another good one. It's not scarey, but has that King spirit to it.

I read insomnia twice. I loved it so much. Whenever my insomnia kicks in I joke about how I'm soon going to start seeing little bald doctors. Most people don't get the refrence tho. My first stephen king book was pet semetary. I read it when I was 14, and oddly enough the thing I remember most about the book was that I found weed papers in it and used them as a bookmark for years. I saw some of the movie when I was 11 or 12 but I was too scared to watch it all.

You know I have always stayed away from Stephen Kings fiction because Im afraid of being disappointed, theres so many books what if one just blows it for me and I lose interest in the rest, sounds silly but I just have alot of respect for him as a author and that he is able to touch lives, even as a mentor--i absolutely loved his book "On Writing: A Memoir..." and would recommend it to anyone. I feel the day is coming where I brave a King book and I would have to say my first pick would be SALEMS LOT and A DARK TOWER book, not sure which one yet, still doing my homework.
