Dear Ersmommy, The first time I drove a jeep not a car along was when my cousin who is in the high ranges of South Kerala in India came to our house with a Jeep. It was a nice experience and my final stop was hitting on a post. In that drive I crashed a car and had to solve it when I came home, then a cow but cow did not die. I hope that drive was just 3 kms. After that my friends car was used and along with my friend I practiced well and finally I was able drive somewhat better without much accidents.

I remember the first time I drove a care with parental supervision. My dad was rather prone to thunking me on the head for making a mistake. Sigh.

Oh yes, the first time i went for my license I failed and I cried so much as i had a brand new Mini sitting in the drive way but the second time i went for it i got and i was so excited I jumped straight in my beautiful car and drove to a little country town not far outside of melbourne....

I will never forget the first time I drove a car by myself. I got my license in the summer and the first good snowstorm that we got had me terrified and my Dad who taught me how to drive insisted I learn how to drive in the snow and ice ON MY OWN! He always thought I was a good driver and trusted me. Well, off I went and I was going down a very long practically deserted street when I went into a skid...my first experience with this and I was amazed at how easily I pulled myself out of it! I didn't panic and remembered everything my DAd told me to do! I was so proud of myself!
