I need to make a banner - can anyone help?

I need to make banners for my blog. I currently have 125x125 ones on my profile and my blogs, but they are so plain and even to large. I want a banner that can have a bit more decoration to it - an eye catcher style. I want that size plus a longer banner ..460x60 I think and then half that size. I used Blogger I have WIndows XP I use Microsoft Picture Premium photo editor I use Photobucket photo host program. I'm a beginner, novice so in words for "dummies" if you can - any step by step directions for making one or maybe you know of a site that has free banner one could just add their info on. The ones I have are free, but I just wnat something a bit more informative and professional and fun looking. Thanks for any helP!

I have tried BannerBreak before. There are good designs and the banner looks professional. It is free too. You can try them at www.bannerbreak.com. Thanks.
