My hubby is usually off on Thursdays but today he had to go in but didnt leave till just a couple of minutes ago. I was up first this morning so automatically I turn on the tv and watch it for 10 minutes. I always leave it on then he comes in changes the channel to the sports channel. He never puts it back to channel I was watching. Its not like Im watching it but I still can hear it.LOL Does this sort of thing happen to you?

Oh yes it sure does. It aggravates me to no end! My husband will change the channel when there's a commercial on and I'm sitting there going, "OH No you don't!" lol He knows to go to the bedroom or upstairs if he wants to watch something different.

My boyfriend likes to channel surf too when the commercials are on. Some times he likes to do it to get my goat. Drives me crazeeeee. And the worst is when he doesn't remember what channel I was watching, and even when i tell him (as I am hyperventilating) he can't seem to get it back to the right channel. I think it's a man thing.

Normally it doesn't but it didt he other Day as Gissi decided to change the Channel when he laid on the remote
But do you know what was the worse of it??
I wanted to get the remote back from him as I was watching the Film and the little Devil growled at me every time I tried to take it from under him, I missed 5 Minutes of my Film

Normally after finish watching my tv program I will having my net surfing in the living room and leaving the tv on as usual. My hubby would then select his favorite channel if he happens to be around. He loves the local news and documentaries about ancient cultures and arts.

Actually my husband is pretty considerate. He goes to bed first usually and when he rolls over to sleep he changes it to what I like to watch, so when I come to bed, its already for me. Sometimes he falls asleep watching whatever it is, so then I have to change it.

I copied and pasted this response from yesterday as there was a fault on Mylot and I couldn't respond to discussions:
You are lucky at least you are allowed to watch, tv, dad dominates the television, from the moment he gets up to the moment he goes to bed, that's 15 hours solid television day in day out no one else gets a look in, he never asks mum if she would like to watch anything! He is so selfish, he has sky! even if there is a good film on and he doesn't want to watch it that's it! He's master and controller of the tv, mind you he's welcome to it, I can take it or leave it, I probably watch about 5 hours of tv a week! Chalk and cheese my father and I.

All the time! The news channels are my husband's favourite. I don't watch too much TV and it's rarely that a movie I need to watch comes on...and he's always changing channels...and not putting it back.
I usually leave it on a music channel for my little one now...and he comes...changes to a news channel...and then SWITCHES OFF the TV...not just the remote...the whole thing...and then I have to go back from the kitchen...and switch it all on for the little one.

This happens all the time but I solved the problem by watching television in another room with my own remote. My husband use to change the channel and then leave the room not to return for a long time. It was terribly frustrating so I moved my old body to another room to watch. It worked very well. He also likes to channel surf and it drove me up a wall. We would be watching something really good and he'd decide to see what else was on and change the channel. He didn't just do this when a commercial was on either. Oh well, guess there are worse things he could be doing..lol

LOL I recognize that :)
Not only hubby never turns the channel back to what it was but he seems to have somehow gotten surgically attached to the remote which I think it's even serious hehehehe
TO be honest it doesn't bother me since I am not too much into tv. Even when I'm home all day - like know - the tv is never on .. until hubby comes gome.
I have a few shows that I like but if hubby is not home I hardly even remember to turn on the tv :)

My hubby does the same thing and I get annoyed because when he does try to get it back to the channel I was watching, I end up missing the first couple of minutes and I don't like that, I get lost and then have to figure my way around again LOL
If I am not watching it then I suppose its ok but then again LOL

My boyfriend does it with the tv and the radio. It drives me absolutely nuts. If I'm sitting in front of the tv watching the show he will change it. I dont understand!! I would never change someones show on them. It has to be a guy thing.

It's the same with the toilet seat, we have to lift it up. Get over it and change the channel back.

Usually in my family, it is my son who changes the channels to find the very one that he prefers to watch. So I am always the one sharing the same interest with him for the same channel. lol.

Constantly! We have TVs everywhere, but he turns them all to the hot rod station if he's in the room longer than about a minute! I put on the channel I WILL be watching, then sit here and answer a few emails while I wait... I keep missing the beginnings of the shows I'm waiting to see because he's changed the channel at some point... and I didn't even know that he was inside!
