I've been on the computer for almost 2 years bu have never set up a website and have no idea how to do that or where to start. I would like to set one up though so I could list my PTC sites andmy refferral information so I can have a few refferrals underme. If anyone can help or knows of a site that I can go to tolearn how to do this successfully please let me know and any help would be appreciated. Thanks again.~D

I've been on the computer for over ten years now and I've only in the last couple months even started to think I might try a website so I'm glad I read this posting and I intend to check back. For now, I'm going to take the first poster's advice and check out Tripod. Thanks much to both of you.

It really depends what you are trying to do with your website. If you are trying to be a bookseller on-line and be able to take and process orders as an extension to your existing business I would recommend using a free website building product called Joomla.
It may look quite daunting to start with but it has a very large support community (millions of people are active in the Joomla Community).
It can do pretty much anything - you can extend it to be a shop pretty much out of the box.
It has extensions (again most are free) to enable you to manage a website, place stock lists on the Internet, take payment using paypal, alertpay etc and most credit and debit cards.
If you take a quick look at my website (see my mylot homepage for the link) this is built using Joomla and I am only using the core product and the fireboard forum. It can do so much more.
Additionally you can load it onto free websites (I recommend Site Ground as one of the best hosting services on the net).
If you are interested in setting up a Joomla site I am happy to give you advice if you need it.
