With Geraldine Ferraro comments, the talk show host in Ohio, and others who are expressing their opnion and are suffering for it because it is not what some people want to hear. Geraldine Ferraro spoke the truth and is in trouble. John McCain is telling people what they can say so they don't offend anyone. It is OK for people to vote for Senator Obama because he is Black but if I vote for Senator McCain because he is white I am evil. A Black Leader can call white male college students rapist but you cant' say anything against the Black Woman who falsely accused them. A TV color comeator makes a joke and is suspended. A Black Preacher states that we deserved 911 and he is selected to work on a national campaing. A white man commits a crime against a minority and it is a hate crime. Black street gangs target whites and it is not a hate crime. Where are we going with this Politically Correct nonsence? Next will we be charged with a crime if we say anything that offends someone (minorities only) or they think they are offended.

The Hate Crime Bill was passed as a means to control us. The thought police are already here. A man was in a bank giving a web address to someone in line, goes home, the next thing he knows he's got the police at his door asking him all kinds of questions because another woman in line "thought" she heard the word massacre. If you really want to know what is going on check out this website: http://www.TruthNews.us We are under attack but it isn't the minorities!

I'm really trying to be careful how I respond here because you make some valid points that I agree with but at the same time I don't know why it's necessary to bring race into any of these issues at all, whether it qualifies as "hate speech" or whatever else anyone choose to call it. The woman in the Duke case was wrong and, in my opinion, should be punished for lying and destroying those young men's lives. I don't give a rat's butt what color any of them are. Imus made a very tasteless joke, he apologized for it and that should have been the end of the story. The young women on the basketball team no doubt were hurt and embarrassed but if the media and the activists had just let it go from day one - or at least day two - it wouldn't have had any legs at all. Geraldine Ferraro was wrong for saying what she said and she's only made matters worse by her defiant attitude in recent days. Everyone gets wherever they get in life because of what they are in total and part of what Hillary Clinton is is female and part of what Barack Obama is is black. The fact that the final two Democrats standing happen to be a woman and an African American is historical, that can't be denied and to ignore it totally would be patronizing. As far as Cunningham goes, I think his remarks are indefensible and very infantile. He's Rush on steroids! You say, "It is OK for people to vote for Senator Obama because he is Black but if I vote for Senator McCain because he is white I am evil." If all things were equal in your mind on the issues, or even if you liked Obama better in some ways and you still chose to vote for McCain because he's white, that would make you a racist and, I'm sorry, but to me that IS evil. If you vote for the person you believe is the best one for the job, that's the way it's supposed to be. Considering any of us who are no white males haven't had on of our "own kind" to vote for before, I'd say why wouldn't some people be excited? Annie

I just want to clarify this with you: are you saying that, if all things were equal in the mind of a black American on the issues, or even if they liked McCain better in some ways but still chose to vote for Obama because he is black, then they are racist? all the best urban

Annie, What I am saying is if I were a famous person and said that I was voting for John McCain because he was a white man, I would be labeled a racist. If I say that I am voting for Senator Obama because he is black that is OK. If I vote for Senator Clinton because she is a woman that is alright. Both democratic candidates have used race and gender as a reason to vote or not to vote for them. Hillary Rotham would be nothing in politics today, unless she worked her was up through the ranks. Robert Kennedy would not have been elected Senator from New York if his brother had not been shot. Being politically Correct is like the Emperors new clothes, we have been told that only the evil or racist people say those thing and if you speak the truth you will be punished in some way.
