Guitar have its own value and at the same time drums have its own value, both plays an important role in music. They are just like wheels of a car. Each and every wheel is important to a car.

Guitar Man!Invariably any tune can be brought outta guitar at the first strike and you just keep going, but with the drums you gotta know your rhythm first i.e what your actually looking for and just hmmmmm.build on that, actually not easy

All musical instruments are greatest peaces on earth. Music soothes the mind. i'd like to say they're both great. The guitar lets you be more creative and make more unique things, but the drums are just amazing when you can start to pull off some solos...they also provide good stress relief. For ex- On the Earth there usually six tastes Sweet, Hot, Bitter, Sour, Salty & Acridity each one is special then the other. If we suppose to eat the same for several days we cannot .In the same way the Guitar & drums and left their own identity.

I've been playing the guitar for 14 years now and i love it, but i wouldn't miond learning teh drums. To me, any musical instrument is the best no matter what they are. I even would.'t mind leaning to play the bagpipes. Take your pick, it's all up to you.

ashish; In my forty+ years of rockin' I've played drums, keyboards rythmn, bass, and lead guitars in different bands and for my own pleasure. Drums are bulky, heavy, take a lot of time and energy to set up and you are usually worn out before you get around to playing, unless you only play in the garage or have a roadie. Not to mention that you have to be in great shape and expend a tremendous amount of energy for long periods of time to play metal.Besides, there's a limited amount of sounds you can get from a set of drums no matter how big they are or how good you are. Then there is the problem of volume, the neighbors, and cops. Drums tend to become monotonous and annoying very rapidly when played without accompaniment of some type. The guitar is much more versatile and, for me, offers a greater musical challenge. You have notes to bend, shape, resonate, and sustain. You can kick around and strum for your self on a flat top or small practice amp, or quake the ground with your thunder through a monster. I love and get more enjoyment from my guitar than any set of drums I have ever seen or played. But then, like the others said, it's a matter of personal choice. I can only share my personal experience with you. Some tend to take up drums because they are anxious to play an instrument and believe that drums will be easy. Believe me, if you are going to be any good, they are not easy and never get any easier, as far as physicality goes. But then, maybe I'm just getting older and lazier.

I would have to say that drums is the way to go. Two reasons, i tried guitar and it hurt my fingers, and when you play drums you can use them when your angry like hitting a pillow to make you feel better.

Guitar first becaue of being able to do melodic stuff like chords. If you have one of those Stomp drummers or someone from the Blue Man Group then he should be good enough to make the drums more interesting.

All musical instruments are greatest pieaces on earth. Music soothes the mind. Your question is which one is good for learning or listening. For listening, both are required depending on musical notes. For learning, one should know what he likes.

Well i play both guitar and drums and i'd like to say they're both great. The guitar lets you be more creative and make more unique things, but the drums are just amazing when you can start to pull off some solos...they also provide good stress relief.
