So how's life?

Sad/Depressed Emoticon - Not feeling very well

So how is your life or perhaps just your week? Mine has been a little less than satisfactory. I woke up sick this morning, cough and cold, bit of a fever and just in time for an outpatient procedure tomorrow. Figures. And why is it when you are dreading something thats up and coming, it seems to bear down on you faster than you want it to? I don't drink, but have found myself having a glass of this and that all week long. To top it all off trouble in paradise, which has led to more depression. Somedays you can't win for losing. So my posting has been a bit off, I'm getting behind in my comments and best responses and don't have the energy of a slug. Woe is me, right? I don't always post discussions like this, but maybe getting it off my chest will help a little, although I've had a few friends that have had their ear close to the epicenter of my despondency and that I am eternally grateful for. So thats where I'm at. What troubles you or how's your life?

I don't know what I said for you to think I'm so cool, especially since I just "woe is me'd" all over the place. Yes, sometimes being married is hard, but stick with it, you married her for a reason.

Awww some wives can be overbearing and controlling. If its a really big issue maybe try to talk to her about it. Thats the only way my husband and I get anywhere is when we sit down and discuss our issues and get it all out there.

I'm good, but I'm sorry that you're not. Sometimes where we're feeling under pressure our bodies try & tell us so by getting sick. It's their signal to let up on ourselves. Take it easy, do what you have to do, but ignore the unimportant stuff. I mean, the world won't end if you get behind on your comments & stuff. Hope you feel better for getting it off your chest, and that the world looks a rosier place very soon.

Thanks, sometimes it just helps to vent to those that aren't in the situation. Like now. I'm sure things will look better tomorrow.

Aww, I'm sorry that so many negative things are going on in your life right now! We all have days or periods of time where everything just seems pretty lousy overall and it's terrible, but that's how life is sometimes, you know? We all have to deal with it. Hopefully things will start to look up for you pretty soon. I'm crossing my fingers! As far as how my week is going... It's been pretty stressful. Nothing really depressing, just aggravating. Dealing with the social secuirty administration, the vital statistics department, and the permanent fund department can get to be a little daunting. I hate government paper work with a passion. On a good note though, I'm also applying for a million and one scholarships! There's a good chance I could get one. Especially with as many as I applied for!

I agree beauracratic red tape is no fun to deal with on any level. It can be very exhausting and frustrating. Good luck with the scholarship search though. I'm sure you will get one. Sounds like you certainly deserve it.

Right now my life is pretty great but last week was the ultimate in pits. I had stomach flu so bad you just would not believe. If I was not throwing up I was dashing to the bathroom and all of this was sending my blood glucose levels up and down like a yo-yo. I really thought for a day or so there Iwas going to end up in the hospital again with bleeding diverticulitis but my son got me some diahrrea medication and after several doses I did begin to think I was actually going to live. I even had to postpone my appt with my renal doctor but now I can keep it next week. I feel great now like I had never been sick and I had my fun time with my best friend Nelda last night. Every two weeks we get together and eat dinner out and share good times and bad and just chat away like old friends which we are. She picks me up in her red car she calls tomato and we usually eat at BurgerKing we are not a bit fancy. then we just sit and chat . we are both senior citizens with diabetes and our two sons are best friends and computer nerds too. we keep each other up on all that going on in our lives and she keeps me sane as I get depressed at times over not working any longer.I miss the library crew and also that paycheck every two weeks and get to feeling isolated but socializing with Nelda does the trick for me.

I'm sorry you've been so sick. Bleeding diverticulitis doesn't sound like too much fun. I have to go in for a liver biopsy tomorrow and I don't think thats going to be too much fun either. At least you have the support of your friend and I'm sure that helps. Hope things look better for you next week.

Sounds like you are practicing a form of meditation which is always highly recommended. My boyfriend is always trying to get me into doing things like that, but I simply don't have the patience.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well Kb and don't worry about responding to your discussions, it's all good. I hope you do feel a little better and that the weekend brings a lot more sunshine and warmth to your days. As for me, I am happy my hubby is home but not too happy that he might have to leave again in three weeks time. My son acts up when he's gone and misses him a lot. Also have a few financial woes at the moment but hoping to get through them in the next few months. That always gives me a headache LOL Hope you feel better soon and we are here if you need us

My life.. there has been many ups and downs since the last 6 months when i came into a job.. First i had been in a hard scheduled training for 4 months where i had to study hard. Then it turned out to be completely different when i got a posting and i was completely free.. had nothing to do at all.. Then again a one month training and again back to no work.. Soit has been a little boring life.. morning to evening office and get back to home in the evening and to bed at night.. I follow the same routine and try o have fun playing different sports and swimming.. Going for movies on the weekends.. And now i m into a project so i am just hoping to have a turn in my life.. Lets see how it comes to me.. till now life has been a little slow and boring.. My first live project so i m a little excited about it..

Celebrate! - When we celebrate even the little things, we create a good feeling for ourselves and we enjoy a good day.
The past days have been great and exciting for me. Just recently, I was promoted into another level in my company and it feels really good and rewarding. There are bad things that might happen in a day but as long as we feel the excitement within, we will still what a good day it was.

It has been a off week for me as well Katherine, having my daughter here took abit of adjusting, and then today when I was suppose to go to the doctor with her, I couldn't. Last nite I came down with the puking flue, and was up all nite. Felt like I was hit by a truck, and couldn't even keep water down. So off she went on her own and back home to her hubby. I felt so bad, like I had somehow disappointed her. But she said all is ok for now, and thank me for my support of her thru her tuff time. Thank goodness I had already taken the day off of work, there was no way I could of worked as sick as I was. So this afternoon, I took a real long napp, and I am finaly able to keep some food down. But I to am finding myself a bit down, and out of sorts. This to shall pass I am sure, I will try to keep my head head. Hope you are able to too.*hugs* Take good care Katherine.

oh I'm so sorry to hear that, I had the stomach virus last week and that wasnt any fun! Hope you feel well very very soon. Well I'm stressed about bills , but who isnt . Not only that I drive a van and the gas prices are sky high. And I dont even go anywhere besides work and back. Other than that, trying new activities with the baby. And just keeping the head up!

Having your baby around to take your mind off things I'm sure certainly helps. Just having my 11 year old son is really uplifting. Sometimes when I'm down, all I need is a good hug from him and everything is all better.

Sometimes speaking out your pain is a good way to relax, just like you. I am a student.I will graduate from my university next year, you know it is not easy for me to find a good job, however, what I could do is just keeping trying hard.I dont kown what is my future, but you kown no pains,no gains.Life is just studying hard, working hard and..... How tired we are!

I'm sure its not easy attending school, you really have to stay focused. Looking for a job I know isn't easy because I just went through it for several months and it was really depressing, but you can take heart that you hard work will pay off Really it will.

Sorry you are not feeling too good, I have been fighting something all week, I feel quite drained and lethargic these last couple of days. When you have something coming up the time seems to fly, I have had that more than a few times when I have been given my hospital appointments for future dates, it just goes that fast and before you know it it is time to go! I feel just lately that the harder I try, then the harder someone knocks me back. Sometimes I wonder why I bother at all. Well I hope you feel better soon, and that things go ok with your proceedure and everything else thats not good gets better!
