Why you should watch Exercise Videos even if you hate them...

I actually like Exercise Videos but only IF I can find the right one. I watch Exercise TV On Demand and sometimes it's a real good video that is easy to follow, works me out hard, and gets me motivated. Other times, I watch it for 2 mins and want to say "ahh screw it!!"
However, I've decided it is worth it to watch an exercise video all the way through even if you don't do it. The reason is that I've learned moves through these videos that I can repeat later. I learn many different simple moves that really kick butt! And then when I don't feel like doing a video, I just freestyle those various moves.
A lot of times I can go a long time without needing an exercise video b/c I have a whole mental library of moves. However eventually I start to forget some of it and lose motivation, that's when I watch an exercise video again. Of course I try to find one I actually enjoy and that actually gives me results! But if I'm coming up with none, I watch other videos just to learn new moves :)
Do you use Exercise Videos and do you repeat the moves outside of the videos later? Or do you HAVE to watch the video in order to remember the moves every time? Do you get frustrated when all the videos you find seem over complicated? I don't want to learn a whole dance, I just want to get results!!

I used to buy or rent them but gave up on them for the most part. Every person is different so you can watch the basic moves of then and then change them so that they work best for your body. The new CORE system is nice but it takes a while to learn all the complex moves then be able to repeeat them at a fast pace.

Yeah that is the problem with a lot of these videos, too complex. I've found many On Demand that are really easy b/c it's basically repeat one move for a min, then do the next, then do the next. But I hate the ones where you do like two steps like this, then 4 counts like this, "now let's start at the beginning!" and you're supposed to remember it all. I'd rather simple repetitive moves.
And you are right, you can take moves from any of these videos and put them together so it works for you. Sometimes I've done a video that was eh, just ok, but afterwards I remembered a few of the best moves in it and wala! I had my own workout :)

Yep whatever works for you. I'm not a fan of the dancing exercise videos because I find myself too busy trying to learn the steps instead of getting a workout. I like to dance, but just don't like to mix exercise with dance because it gets too confusing. Thanks for sharing!
